Middle East Experience
- Advised a large Saudi operating company on the acquisition from a Far Eastern company of a stake in a Swiss chemicals business and manufacturing licences for the Middle East
- Advised Gulf nationals on the full range of their legal and business needs, including investments and operations in Europe
- Negotiated an agreement for a US company operating in the hospitality sector in Saudi Arabia and advised on operational issues there
- Structured and negotiated a complex JV in Saudi Arabia to manufacture equipment under licence from a US company (the client) and to market and sell the products across the region
- Counseled a US manufacturer on turnkey contracts with Middle Eastern government bodies and on the corporate issues entailed in working there
- Carried out the corporate and commercial work required for a US engineering company to contract with a Middle Eastern airline and for another US company to partner with a Saudi construction company to build, among other things, three stadia
- Formed a number of joint ventures for US and UK companies in Qatar, Dubai and Abu Dhabi
